Spinal surgery Department covers the entire spectrum from classic intervertebral cervical or lumbar disc surgery to minimally invasive interventions on the spine, vertebral body fractures and degeneration, and large stabilization operations.

One form of treatment for chronic pain is e.g. the spinal cord stimulator (SCS) or pain pacemaker. There are also conservative procedures for treating the back, including: spinal injection therapy

Treatment of the spine may be necessary due to malformations, inflammation, wear, tumours and accidents, especially osteoporotic fractures. It is important to take the patient's disease into account, to determine the current form and the expected course of the treatment decision.

Our spectrum includes all conservative and surgical treatments for congenital and acquired diseases and injuries to the spine.

• Herniated discs - Minimally invasive surgery or implantation of an intervertebral disc prosthesis in case of a herniated disc on the cervical and lumbar spine
• Spinal canal stenosis - Minimally invasive spinal canal decompression of the spinal stenosis
• Vertebral sliding - Stabilization surgery for vertebral sliding
• Spinal degeneration - Minimally invasive and corrective fusion surgery for degenerative changes of the entire spine
• Scoliosis and Kyphoses - Conservative therapy for malformations in children and adolescents ()
• Vertebral fractures - Kyphoplasty (bone cement filling), minimally invasive stabilization or replacement of the broken vertebral body if the spine breaks (fracture) due to an accident or osteoporosis
• Tumors of the Spinal column - Radiofrequency ablation, stabilization surgery and vertebral body replacement for spine metastasis
• Spinal infections - remove the inflamed intervertebral discs and infected tissue then stabilized with a screw-rod system or in the cervical spine with a plate, and replacement of the intervertebral discs if necessary.
